Hello!
My partner, Ahmad Hakim works at the ASRC and is also one of the cooks featured in this year's Feast 4 Freedom.
We want to make some difference and fundraising for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre is cause that is close to our hearts.
We're doing this by hosting a family picnic at the Black Sapphire Pirate Ship Playground, Saturday 6th April at 12pm.
Bring a rug to sit on, take off your shoes and eat with your hands, like we do!
Donate what you feel our Mesopotamia Mezze is worth and if you can't make it, donate anyway!

ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
