Story

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT CAME TO MY FEAST! 

 

I greatly enjoyed hosting 200 people at my feast at the ASRC. We had a lovely time celebrating everything that unites us.

 

Now I encourage you all to register to host your own feast! With hundreds of feasts taking place across the country between now and mid-April, it's a great opportunity to put your heart on your sleeve and support people seeking asylum in Australia. Sign up as a host and prepare delicious recipes gifted by refugees, or recipes from your own cookbook, and be a part of what unites us.

Australia has a strong tradition of coming together in harmony over incredible food from all over the world. Feast 4 Freedom is a celebration of this tradition, and a chance to come together with loved ones and connect over the things that unite us.

    The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.

    As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.

    We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
